What we do, we do for those who work in service to our country.
It’s why we strive to create exceptional training, living, and learning environments that support their success. Projects done right, whether big or small, make a huge difference to the well-being and focus of military and civilian personnel. From designing strategic headquarters to repairing HVAC systems, we create adaptable spaces that can accommodate changing missions, technological advancements, and new sustainability standards.
SMMA specializes in a wide range of projects for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and other government entities.

Ironsides Design
SMMA’s Government team is a proud participant in the Small Business Administration (SBA) Mentor-Protégé Program.
This program fosters collaboration between established companies and small businesses, empowering the latter to secure new contracts and expand their capabilities. In partnership with Fort Hill, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, SMMA co-founded Ironsides Design to combine the strengths of both companies and create innovative solutions within the government projects arena.
“What’s fascinating about working for the government is finding beautiful solutions at the intersection of the many constraints in the Government sector. But that makes the reward of good design that much greater.”
