The information we collect.

“Personal Information” as used in this Privacy Policy means information, either by itself or in combination with other information, about a person that enables the person to be individually identified. During a visit to our Sites, SMMA.com may collect other, non-personally identifiable information from Site visitors. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address and when you request a page from this Site, our servers log that IP address.

How information is used/possible information sharing.

Non-personally identifiable information that is collected may be used to compile aggregate and statistical data and to measure Site activity to allow us to update our Site to better meet user expectations.

SMMA.com may utilize non-personal data on an aggregate level for the purpose of performing analytics on the user's experience while visiting the Sites. Personal Information that you provide to us in the course of submitting a request, comment, or question (such as via our “contact” page) may be gathered and stored in one or more of our corporate databases and be used for purposes of contacting you for things like marketing programs or other communications from this website or other SMMA programs and services.

If you provide it to us, we may release your Personal Information, including email address, if required to do so by law, or by search warrant, subpoena, or court order, or to a third party to which ownership of SMMA is transferred via an acquisition, merger, sale of assets, or otherwise.

When you choose to post a resume to the careers section of the SMMA Site and apply to become part of the SMMA team, please note that you will be linked to a third-party URL (https://smma.applytojob.com/apply/) and these pages will be branded as SMMA. The Personal Information you provide via the URL will be used solely for the purposes for which it is provided (including the processing of your application) and will be retained for such a period as is necessary to comply with SMMA’s legal and administrative requirements.

Security.

The SMMA Site is not designed to store sensitive Personal Information such as financial or health information, so please do not provide SMMA with such information through the SMMA Site. We take commercially reasonable precautions to keep your Personal Information, including email address, secure. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online, and you do so at your own risk.

SMMA reserves the right to change or remove this Privacy Policy at our discretion. We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy including email practices or any new policy here and we encourage you to visit this area frequently to stay informed. Your continued use of the Sites after the effective date of any changes constitutes your consent to the changes.

Important note regarding U.S. law.

All matters relating to this site are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the federal laws of the United States. All legal proceedings arising from or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be brought in the federal or state court, as applicable, located in Boston, Massachusetts and you hereby submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of such courts for such purpose.
