SMMA last week announced 11 new promotions at the firm, including two new Senior Associates and nine new Associates. Ara Krafian, President and CEO, confirmed the promotions at a company all-hands meeting and praised each individual’s stellar contributions to SMMA.
“Congratulations to all of the people who were recognized today,” said Krafian. “And to those who were not recognized today who I know are exceptional. We’re very proud of our exceptional team. I know it every day—I feel it and appreciate it.”
SMMA’s life science group is well-represented in this year’s round of promotions, with lab planner Natasha Pirman and architects Lance Kubiak and Larry Koehrsen made Associates. MEP promotions include electrical engineer John Alfeo—now a Senior Associate—and Anthony Castelline and Daniel Barrett, both new Associates.
SMMA’s Providence office celebrates two new Associates in architects Jennifer Hayes and Peter Stockman. Other promotions include civil engineer Peter Rebuck, design technologist Anthony Caranfa, and marketing manager Tracey O’Connor, now a Senior Associate.
Promotions at SMMA are determined by the firm’s Promotions Committee, which oversees the firm’s employee advancement efforts. The Committee is formed of SMMA leaders across core services, project management, accounting, IT, administration, and marketing.
