Life at SMMA
SMMA thrives on the spirit of togetherness. We’re a vibrant community where diverse talents unite, creating more than just designs—we’re building relationships, celebrating achievements, and fostering innovation together. Here, every voice contributes to our shared success, making SMMA not just a workplace, but a team where we create, grow, and thrive together.
We foster a culture of togetherness that unites all employees.
Whatever your needs or interests, we are here to support you through a wide range of social, learning, and wellness opportunities.
Groups and Clubs
Our employee-led resource groups and committees play a vital role in fostering collective experiences. We ensure that every employee has a voice and feels able to contribute to building a collaborative work environment.
We know that starting a new job brings so much to learn and figure out. SMMA’s buddy program matches new hires with experienced and supportive peers to introduce them to the firm and all we have to offer.
Mindfulness and Wellbeing
Our employees can access weekly meditation sessions, mindfulness workshops, guest speakers, gym discounts, and confidential support services for themselves and their families.
Inspired Design
Transcending markets and services, we celebrate and explore the design excellence that defines our collective creativity and contributes to our success.
Recognition
Celebrating our people’s achievements and contributions—whether individual or team based—is a proud part of SMMA culture. Our “Awards Season” comes with cash prizes and includes the following:
Twice a year we celebrate employees who exceed expectations, from exceptional client service and design ingenuity to outsized contributions to SMMA’s culture.
Each year President and CEO Ara Krafian honors an SMMA employee who has left a meaningful and lasting impact on the firm through dedicated service and by pushing the boundaries of their craft.
We are proud to have so many people at SMMA who have built their careers here. Our annual Service Awards honor those who have reached their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th years at our firm.
