Elliott Announced as New SMMA Principal

SMMA has announced a new promotion to the role of principal: Landscape Architecture Department Manager Andy Elliott.

The announcement was made by CEO and President Ara Krafian at a company all-hands meeting.

“With 12 years of dedicated service to SMMA, Andy has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership as our Landscape Architecture Department Manager,” said Krafian.

Executive Vice President Brian Lawlor, commenting on Elliott’s promotion, said: “Andy’s design talents are second to none. He commits himself and his teams to design excellence yet is always patient, collaborative, encouraging, and welcoming. We are very lucky to have him at SMMA and I am delighted that he will be a cornerstone of our leadership moving forward.”

Elliott’s creative vision and collaborative spirit have been evident in projects like the Hood Park master plan, where he led landscape design efforts for a multi-use public plaza and a green roof terrace.
