SMMA COVID-19 Response

[Update] As of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, SMMA has temporarily closed its Cambridge office due to Governor Baker's mandate to the State of Massachusetts. Operations will continue to run remotely as we work together to deliver seamless and excellent service.

SMMA Clients and Friends,

I hope this message finds you well during these unprecedented times. Like all of you, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic both locally and nationally. We understand the fluidity of the situation and are committed to working with all of you to manage commitments while continuing to focus on the health and safety of our staff and their families. Our goal is to be compassionate, thoughtful, and responsible as we serve our clients with professionalism, and our exceptional associates with the necessary support to work seamlessly through the challenges we all face.

As a business, we are implementing rigorous social distancing protocols. Among these protocols, we have recommended that our staff work from home, but are not closing our offices at this time. Our offices are restricted to staff only and no in-person meetings will be permitted on site. Also, staff are being asked to attend all external meetings virtually until further notice.

SMMA took extraordinary steps in 2018 to move our network and work processes to a cloud-based platform. Rest assured, our entire staff is fully capable of collaborating remotely and I am confident in the work ethic and resolve of my colleagues. We will continue to work with all of you to develop approaches to help each project team move forward through remote working best practices. When we work remotely, the goal is to be supportive, effective, and well-connected.

I understand that this is a tense and uncertain time for everyone. We will make sure our lines of communications are open, and updates are frequent. Please take care of yourself and of each other.
