SMMA Designs GoDaddy Regional Headquarters

GoDaddy, the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, selected SMMA to design their new East Coast headquarters at 1 Main Street in Kendall Square. The new Cambridge office will occupy the top floor of 1 Main Street and is being designed to reflect the strong brand identity and creative workplace culture of GoDaddy. When completed in early 2014, it will provide office and collaboration space for the company’s technical, Research and Development, sales and customer support teams.

The move to Cambridge is part of a global growth and acquisition strategy for GoDaddy. The Kendall Square expansion follows the company’s 2013 acquisitions of Afternic, one of the industry’s leading domain name aftermarket companies based in Waltham, and Locu, a company that helps local merchants "get found" online. The new Kendall Square office will bring together these two newly-acquired companies and allow GoDaddy to expand customer services solutions for their more than 12 million customers around the world.
