Seeking Out Collaboration
Andrew is always looking for opportunities to challenge himself as a designer and engineer. “First and foremost, we as electrical engineers have to keep up with any code changes or updates,” he says.
“Here at SMMA, I have the opportunity to stretch myself further by collaborating with the other disciplines. Since joining this firm, I think about the visual aesthetics more deeply from the very beginning of the design process. Working with our architecture and interior design teams, I've gained a much better understanding of composition and layout—and how they can be enhanced by electrical design.”
