Darling and McCormack Announced as Principals at SMMA

SMMA has announced two promotions to the role of principal: architect and Design Technology Manager Dave Darling, and Director of Administration Heather McCormack.
DPR Construction, a national commercial contractor and construction manager, has officially taken up residence at its new Boston office, located in Cambridge, a move that marks the company’s expansion into the Northeast. “Opening this office allows us to better serve customers in the healthcare, life sciences, higher education, advanced technology and commercial markets,” said Greg Haldeman, management committee member for DPR, representing the Northeast region.
Jonathan Merin, SMMA Project Manager, recently earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) Credential, a certification recognized internationally for project management expertise. Established in 1984, the certification demonstrates mastery of the comprehensive skill-set and knowledge needed to ensure successful projects. Registered against ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management systems, the PMP provides a third-party level authority for the exam’s rigor and credence.
The Lyceum Fellowship named Joshua Antolovic of the University of Cincinnati as the winner of its 2017 design competition, co-chaired by Tod Williams and Billie Tsien. His prize includes a $12 thousand grant for four months of travel abroad, affording him the opportunity to experience firsthand some of the world's grandest buildings and architectural designs.
