SMMA Congratulates Four New Registrations

At SMMA, people are our greatest asset. Their continued professional growth is something in which we are deeply invested. With that in mind, we are pleased to congratulate four of our colleagues who have taken the next step in their careers.

Now registered architects, Kate Jessup and Jonathan Merin both passed their seventh and final ARE examinations, and are officially licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Kate, who devotes the majority of her time to K-12 projects and is especially interested in the design of learning environments for children with special needs, has been with the firm for four years. Jonathan, an accomplished project manager, joined the firm last year, and has been primarily engaged in delivering creative solutions for SMMA’s corporate and commercial and technology clients.

Additionally, mechanical engineers Jeff Jansen and Amir Ibraheem both received their licensures as professional engineers. Jeff has been with SMMA for more than seven years, developing successful, technical, and highly complex mechanical systems for a wide variety of life science and mission-critical clients. Amir joined the firm three years ago, and has a wealth of experience in engineering and designing systems for numerous facility types, including commercial, industrial, residential, retail, academic, data centers, and laboratories.

We applaud them on their hard work in achieving these milestones in their professional lives, and are excited for their continued contributions and professional development.
